With its motto, “friends don’t let friends be bored. Hang out at Old Chicago for some really good food, a few beers and a great time,” owner Tom Connelly says the location near the Star Theatre complex has become a popular spot since it opened in October of 2008.

Before he became the globe trotting comedian he is today, he was just another kid with dreams of becoming a rock star. That all changed, however, after Sam Kinison’s legendary stand-up performances changed his life. These days Jack spends less time playing guitar and more time telling jokes. Coming up this month he’ll be traveling to Iraq and Kuwait to entertain the troops, as well as making a stop here in Michiana. While not quite his home town, it’s still nice to see a “local boy” done good.
