At the beginning of this year, South Bend resident John Long purchased the iconic Cheers Lounge. A 30 plus year institution in the Michiana area, Cheers’ has long been known as a great place to catch live music. While that hasn’t changed completely, John has still managed to move a few things around himself. In addition to live music, the bar has also been upgraded with a few key elements to highlight the new owner’s love of stock car racing. With the history of the bar combined with the new additions, Cheers Lounge should have no problem extending it’s stay in South Bend into the distant future.
